Hey hey! My name is Jack, and thank you for supporting my page, Jack’s Travel Hacks. I stared to teach folks the art of Travel Hacking at the end of 2023 in hopes of helping people learn the strategies of traveling on a budget with credit card points and miles. Travel should be attainable for everyone and does not have to cost thousands of dollars. I am naturally frugal (some would say cheap lol) so this was an instant draw to these strategies to unlock cheap travel.

The travel bug got me after our trip to Paris in early 2020 (a week or two before the COVID lockdown which is still crazy to think about). It was my first time out of the country as I did not travel much growing up outside family trips, and this trip opened my eyes to the world out there. Ever since then, my wife, Kirsi, and I have been crossing off bucket list destinations every chance we get (luckily she has the travel bug as well). We have been lucky enough to travel to some unbelievable places. We have road tripped all across Italy and Ireland, trekked through Hawaii, and visited some of the nation’s most beautiful National Parks. And this is all possible through credit card points and miles which drastically cuts the price of these trips.
One of our best redemptions was our Honeymoon in Hawaii. There may have been better “point per cent” value that I have gotten since, but it was the novelty of using points to completely cover the major expenses of the trip. I haven’t done the exact calculations, but it was easily over a thousand dollars of flights and hotels all paid for by credit card points we accrued from just our daily spend. The Southwest Companion Pass (companion flies free) got us from Atlanta to Kauai to Maui and back. Then, our points covered all eight nights staying on the two islands. A story like this isn’t to brag. It is to show you the possibilities available in this game of points and miles.

Now, I teach others how to travel more for less on these points and miles. Teaching people the tricks of points and miles has turned into a passion for me. I love coming up with and building out itineraries for family, friends, and now YOU! The strategies recommended are the best ways to use your points for maximum value while also suggesting credit cards to open up to continue to build your nest egg of points.
Please let me know if there is any way I can help! I have my Intro to the Points Game PDF Guide available to download and also links to put your information into for personalized planning of your next trip!
